MISSION
My goal is, while remaining in the spirit of the European integration, to promote the training of Euroconform professionals and the introduction of the European vocational training and adult education system in Hungary.
My mission is to develop the competences of current and future Hungarian labour market players, so that, in addition to continuous learning and problem-solving skills, they become open, multilingual citizens with a European mentality.
I believe that Hungarians are the winners of the opportunities offered by the European Union and that the way to success lies in social and cultural diversity, learning how democracy works and taking responsibility.
My projects
VOCATIONAL AND LANGUAGE TRAINING
Our institution aims to support initiatives to consolidate, modernise, develop, expand and promote the teaching and learning of the Italian language in Hungary. This is the philosophy we adopt in our activities at our language school, our bookshop, our cookery school, our translation agency and our travel agency.
A professional association created by language schools and teaching professionals, which aims to provide modern, high-quality language courses.
In 2012, language courses specifically designed for seniors and computer training for the over-50s won a European Language Label.
KOTK offers its partners high-quality training in all sectors, including corporate training, language courses or training courses.
The institute provides state-funded courses aimed at issuing technical level qualifications that facilitate the entry into the labour market in the fields of Trade, IT, Logistics, Finance, Tourism and Administration.
The King David College aims to educate open-minded and European-minded students who understand the principles and practice of critical thinking, learn to work and think independently while being sensitive to social issues.
My Story
THE FIRST STEPS...
When I studied in Rome with an Erasmus scholarship in 2003, experiencing life in the high level West with European values, I seriously took into consideration the idea of not returning to Hungary. I called my father, Dr Gábor Salusinszky, and told him that after graduation I wanted to seek my fortune in Italy or another western European country.
My father protested vehemently and told me: “Why not coming back home, when Hungary is about to join the European Union and to become a prosperous, successful country full of opportunities?!” I then decided that my place would be at home!
Through training, I am trying to participate in the creation of a successful country where, in addition to professional skills, as many as possible speak a variety of foreign languages. Another goal aims at the market where, instead of the Hungarian market of 10 million people, we can operate in a much larger one, in the common European market of 400-500 million people.
IN ACTION
I joined Studio Italia, a language school founded by my father in 1990, where I created a national textbook distribution network, founded a travel agency and a cookery school. I have always given great importance to business relations, so I became a member of the board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Hungary, and I participated in meetings of the committees of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES), where labour market processes and training are discussed.
Thanks to more active participation at company level, since 2010 we have completed our professional portfolio, which covers the entire Hungarian territory with tailor-made training courses for companies, while maintaining general and specialised language training.
Participating, as president of the Professional Association of Language Schools, in ministerial and administrative meetings, I learned advocacy, gave presentations on vocational and adult education in Hungary and abroad, and I was also regularly present in the media.
In 2017, while maintaining the organisation of the training of interpreters, translators and tour guides, I managed to expand the number of optional vocational courses in the business group with the acquisition of the two closely related institutes, the KOTK Training Centre and the Technical Institute for Foreign Trade, founded in cooperation with the Jewish Community of Budapest.
To ensure that Hungarian-speaking young people, from inside and outside the country, can attend our courses in Budapest, we provide accommodation through the BZSH King David College.
I feel proud of the fact that, after 20 years of work, we have an average of 3,000 students studying with us each year, we employ more than 120 employees and we generate just over one billion Hungarian forints in revenue.
I would like to thank the team of STUDIO ITALIA, the Senior Language School, the KOTK Training Centre, the Technical Institute for Foreign Trade and the King David College who are always by my side and with whom we are implementing great projects!
